How we handle your personal information.

Re:think magazine and Re-think.com.au are published by Junkies Magazine Australia Pty Ltd, the way we handle, protect and keep your personal information private is of high importance to us.

We regularly review our information handling policies to ensure they’re in line with government privacy requirements and guidelines.

General information handling

  • If you give us your personal information, or we collect it, we will keep it safe and not share it with anyone.

  • We’ll tell you what we’re going to do with your personal information.

Online newsletter and print magazine subscribers

Our newsletter and magazine subscription databases are confidential stand-alone databases within our organisation that are not connected to any other internal or external sources. Subscribers can choose the ‘opt-out’ function on any online newsletter edition.

Competition entrants

If you submit personal information as part of a competition facilitated by Re:think, we will not retain this information without asking you first. We never gather information on behalf of third parties i.e., businesses that partner with Re:think for competitions or promotions.


When a customer submits personal and payment information to purchase a magazine subscription or an item from our Re-think online store, this information remains in the bounds of the transaction and is not used for any other purpose.


When you browse our website, our Internet Service Provider (ISP) and Junkies Magazine Australia Pty Ltd make records of your visit and log the following information for statistical purposes:

  • your server address
  • the date and time of your visit to the site
  • the pages accessed and documents you downloaded
  • the site that directed or referred you to us e.g., a search engine
  • the type of browser you used
  • your top-level domain name (e.g. .com, .au, .gov, .uk etc).

No attempt will be made to identify you or your browsing activity except in the unlikely event of an investigation, where a law enforcement agency may produce a warrant to inspect our ISP logs.
